The 2011 Competition at a Glance.
The Southern Highlands International Piano Competition was conceived in 2005 and will be staging its third event in 2011. It aims to provide opportunities for young pianists to experience an international standard concert performance.
Eligibility & Screening Pianists of any nationality, between the ages of 18 and 34 years, are eligible to participate.
The field will be limited to 24 candidates through an initial assessment from each applicant's DVD recording.
Competition Date October 1st to 9th, 2011
Repertoire The competition consists of 4 stages: Preliminary, 2nd Round, 3rd Round & Final
Application Each candidate is required to send a SHIPC application form (downloadable from this website or by contacting SHIPC), a personal DVD recording and an entry fee of AU$100.
