1.
The organizers of the SHIPC will determine by lot the order in which competitors perform except in the Final Stage where the order may be varied by the organizers for the purposes of programming.

The 24 chosen competitors will be admitted to the Preliminary Stage. Twelve (12) will be admitted to the Second Round, six (6) to the Third Round and four (4) will be admitted to the Final Stage.
3.
Judging will be by an international panel of five (5) Jurors. The number of Jurors and the Jurors may be changed at the discretion of the organizers.
4.
In the event of illness or accident (evidenced as required by the organizers), a competitor may be assigned a changed time during the stage then in progress.
5.
All competitors must be ready and willing to perform earlier or later than their assigned time/s.
6.
All stages will be open to the public.
7.
All competitors by their application waive their rights to all claims, fees, etc for the broadcast (live or otherwise) or recording in any form of their performances. The organizers of SHIPC reserve their right to record all performances for its archives or use without reference to the competitors or payment of fees or royalties to the competitors.

In all matters with respect to the SHIPC, the decisions of the organizers and/or the Artistic Director will be final.
2.
Changes may be made in any arrangements for the SHIPC at any time by the organizers and/or the Artistic Director.
3.
The decisions of the Jurors are final and not subject to question, review or appeal.
4.
In the event that a Juror is related to or has been a teacher of a competitor, that Juror will abstain from voting on the performance of that competitor at each stage.
5.
The SHIPC is organized and staged by Southern Highlands International Piano Competition Inc, an incorporated association.
