The 2009 Competition at a Glance

The Southern Highlands International Piano Competition was established in 2005 and will be staging its second event in 2009. It aims to provide opportunities for young pianists to experience an international standard concert performance.

Eligibility & Screening
Pianists of any nationality, between the ages of 18 and 32, are eligible to participate. The field will be limited to 30 candidates through an initial assessment from each applicant's personal CD recording.

Repertoire
The competition consists of 3 stages: Preliminary, Semi-Final and Final.

Application
Each candidate is required to send a SHIPC application form (downloadable from this website or by contacting SHIPC), a personal CD recording and an entry fee of AUD $100.
